Battery monitor
A shunt-based meter that shows real state of charge, far more accurate than voltage alone.

BCI group size
A standard for a battery's physical size and terminal layout, like group 24, 27 or 31. It says nothing about chemistry or capacity.

Holding tanks for toilet waste and for sink and shower water.

Boondocking
Camping without hookups, relying on batteries, solar, tanks and a generator.

Inverter output that closely matches grid power, safer for sensitive electronics than modified sine wave.
Shore power
Plugging the RV into a campground pedestal, usually 30 or 50 amp.

Surge protector (EMS)
A device between the pedestal and RV that blocks voltage spikes and, on EMS models, low voltage and miswiring.

A fitting that limits campground water pressure to protect RV plumbing.
